The Kraken Society is dedicated to promoting and establishing short films as an unique cinematic art form.
Our activities range from organizing and producing our own festival to advising and programming for various other festivals and cinema oriented venues. We strive to establish a frequent programme scheme of shorts from all the world, as well as from our own region and show it in selected cinemas to different audiences. We also belive that short films belong in every cinema and should be shown alongside feature films.
That is why The Kraken Society is also planning to become a national platform for educating audiences on the specifics and the idiosyncrasies of the short film form, as well as uniting film authors, theoreticians, producers and distributors who are interested in building a community and contributing to the Kraken cause.
